Collectively we are being impacted by numerous things, and in distinct ways: COVID-19, financial upheaval, the impact of ongoing oppression, being called to social change, and the upcoming U.S. elections, alongside our other personal experiences.
So many of us are feeling thrown out of our depth, off-center, anxious, or confused about the future. But, it’s possible to use this upheaval to engage in our own healing, learning, and growth.
In Somatics, Trauma, and Resilience: Healing in Our Times, you will discover a trusted methodology for understanding personal and systemic trauma, building resilience, and engaging in healing.
Join us to Explore Trauma Healing Through Somatics
In this ten-session online course, we will explore the core needs of safety, belonging, and dignity, and how we adapt when these are hurt and threatened. We see healing and action as connected, and will delve into this intersection.
This course is led by Staci K. Haines, a lead teacher of Somatics and Trauma methodology, and author of The Politics of Trauma: Somatics, Healing, and Social Justice.
The program will also include optional small group Coaching Circles that will meet for 4 sessions, to deepen and integrate the weekly online program.
Somatics, Trauma, and Resilience is a live, interactive online course with optional Coaching Circles hosted on the Thinkific learning platform. The robust curriculum introduces methodology and practices each session.
The course consists of ten two-hour live teaching sessions that take place on Thursdays from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM PT. Each session will build upon the next. We’ll ask you to be in daily and weekly somatic practices, and there will be reading and writing reflections throughout the program. You will get to sign up for an optional small group Coaching Circle at registration.
