The aim of the SI Teacher Training Program (SITT) is to develop depthful and embodied teachers of SI’s methodology. The SITT participants are prepared to teach SI’s embodied leadership programs, our certified somatic coaching program and within our corporate partnerships. SI teachers are the embodiment of SI and our work in the world – expressing our mission, the SI Methodology, our brand and our best practices. We take our teacher development seriously, and love doing it!
People interested in becoming a teacher for SI must apply and be accepted to the SITT Program. The SITT program is designed with a structure of 3 gates. Participants must develop the competencies of the first gate, to pass onto the second gate, and so on. The role one holds in a training program, or corporate partnership, depends upon the teacher’s embodied competence. Given the rigor of the methodology, it usually takes 5 years to become a lead teacher.
Our aim through SITT is to build a team of senior teachers to bring SI’s work into multiple constituencies, including: sustainable business, benefit corporations, and corporate partnerships; as well as the fields of coaching, leadership development and personal transformation. SI and our teachers, together, forward the field of Somatics.
If you are interested in more information about SITT, or to apply, please contact us. We accept applications each fall, for the following year’s program.
SI Teacher Training is a multi-year path, and includes intensive development with SI senior teachers. Each year we run a series of in-person SITT trainings as well ask trainees to engage in; daily practices, study and embodiment of the methodology, developing relevance for our audiences, alignment with the vision and mission, and your own growth and development.
