Embodied Leadership
A Pathway to Becoming a Master of Embodied Leadership
Real Change is Embodied
Embodiment is when your actions consistently reflect your values and your commitment, especially under pressure. When you stay embodied under pressure, you become an inspiring leader in your personal life and in your team. Our Embodied Leadership Pathway aligns your vision of who you want to be with daily practices to actually live your leadership everyday.
Over 45 Years of Experience
We have over 45 years experience delivering innovative programs for organizations around the globe that include Fortune 500 companies, large governmental agencies, small businesses, B-corps, NGOs, the U.S. Military, and NATO. Strozzi Institute is the original architect of Embodied Leadership—a unique approach that combines neuroscience, holistic practice, action-oriented communication, and mindfulness.
Why Embodied Leadership?
We all know a leader when we see one.
Imagine this: a new member of your team walks into the room, or a potential partner joins you for a lunch meeting. You can intuit almost immediately that they are an exceptional leader. They don’t even need to speak for you to sense that they are grounded in their values, true to their word, and able to attract the followers and resources needed to achieve their goals. This is embodied leadership in action. When we help people embody their values, their ability to stay centered and present as they lead—in spite of any adversity—is what allows them to drive transformational change.
Embodied learning means knowledge is retained and utilized not only from a cognitive understanding, but from a felt experience through the body. This felt experience means that you will be able to take new actions aligned with your values and vision, even under the same old pressures.

Caroline Peani, Formerly Capital One, currently Amazon

"When you lead from your values everything changes. I was already a high performer, and then I learned how to communicate more powerfully and become more purposeful. I was living in a more balanced way and was offered a promotion within 6 months of going through the Strozzi programs."
John Pershing, SVP HR Ascena Retail Group

"We wanted a game changer for accelerating our high performing teams and our leadership team. I've worked with a lot of different leadership programs and the Strozzi Institute’s is the one that works. It was dramatically different than anything I had experience before. It's their ability to connect the mind, language, action, and the body into sustainable practices. And we were able to see actual true change in a very short amount of time. It deeply resonated with our teams in a meaningful and authentic way."
Bob Gordon, 22 years Executive C-Suite Coach

"Real deal if you want to transform your culture, your organization, or your team. This is something that makes a difference. It’s immediately beneficial and it lasts. They are the only ones who do this. I’ve seen nothing like it."
Start with Embodied Leadership Level One
(Formerly Leadership in Action One)
Four-Day Course + Webinar Series
This course is the foundation in Embodied Leadership transformation.  It powerfully aligns your vision of who you want to be with daily somatic practices to live your leadership everyday. You will build a declaration, or statement of vision, toward a future that you want.  You will explore your conditioned tendencies—the habitual actions that you’ve learned in the past—that may or may not be serving you now.  Through our methodology, your entire being, including your actions, speech, emotions, moods and physical presence, aligns with your vision.  When you stay embodied, even under pressure, you will become a truly inspiring leader.
Further Studies
For students who have completed Embodied Leadership Level One (Formerly Leadership in Action One), there are 3 additional components in the Embodied Leadership Pathway.
Embodied Leadership Level Two
(Formerly Leadership in Action Two)
Four-day course + Two 90-minute webinars

In Embodied Leadership Level Two (Formerly Leadership in Action Two), we begin to look more deeply at the impact of our leadership. What is our personal leadership style? Do we have the practices we need to increase our efficacy as leaders, and remove the barriers that keep us from fulfilling our goals? How do we create the life or future we want, whether that’s at work, in our communities, or at home? This course also deepens our work with conditioned tendencies by exploring Sites of Shaping: the multiple ways that we’ve been influenced by the world around us. You’ll build on the core somatic practices you learned from Embodied Leadership Purpose, including notably, how to use conflict as a generative experience that creates trusting and authentic relationships. You won’t just "learn" to be a better leader, you will leave with actionable skills that will help you show up in the world as the leader you want to be.
