Strozzi Institute's Protocols for In-Person Trainings During COVID

COVID Protocols, Subject to Change Every 4 weeks.

  • As of November 1, 2022 SI will no longer require proof of vaccination from course participants.
  • We require proof of a negative Covid-19 for all in person courses.  PCR tests are strongly recommended and should be from no longer than 72 hours prior to your arrival on site.  If you must take a rapid test, take it on the day you are planning on arriving on site and bring a photo of the results.
  • Training will be indoors. Please come prepared knowing you will be asked on the first day if you are open to optional mask wearing for your course. If all participants and teachers consent to this, then optional mask wearing will be in place. If not, then mask wearing will be mandatory. In preparation for either scenario, please bring a mask. We can provide a mask if you need one.
  • During Travel: At all public spaces, restaurants, gas stations, air travel use maximum precautions such as washing your hands frequently and following current CDC guidelines for wearing masks.
  • If you are concerned about a potential exposure enroute to the course, we will have rapid covid tests on hand to purchase and self test. Cost per test is $40.00.
  • We will conduct training indoors with air purifiers and when the weather allows, we will open windows and doors to support air circulation.  Be sure to layer your clothing in the event the training space is cool.
  • If you have pre-existing immune health conditions, we recommend the highest level of precaution before deciding to attend.
  • All teachers and students will be asked to wash or sanitize hands at all breaks. We will provide sanitizer and washing stations.
  • Door knobs and shared surfaces will be sanitized at every break.
  • Buffets served style lunches will be provided outside along with individually packaged snacks and water. It is requested that masks be worn while serving yourself in the buffet line. Be sure to arrive in the mornings fed and with your own coffee/ tea or morning beverage. We also encourage you to bring your own snacks if you need additional food throughout the day.
  •  In the teaching of somatics, we are not able to maintain a physical distance of 6 feet or 1.8 meters  during the entire training. As with all of our programs, students are always at choice with regards to their engagement.
  • Please plan to arrive on the first day no later than 8:15am to ensure you have time to check in and ensure we have your covid testing information up to date.
  • All participants are asked to notify the office if within 4 days after completing a course you have symptoms and test positive for covid.
