Katina Bishop (Oakland, CA) is a Somatic Practitioner, writer, facilitator and consultant. She works individually with clients who identify as non-profit leaders, activists, writers and survivors of trauma, and with organizations in periods of transition and change. She has a 15 year history in non-profit leadership, serving as a development director, activist and consultant. Her work is also informed by her study of somatics, Aikido, mediation, and meditation. Katina grounds her work in the belief that conflict, both inner and outer, is an opportunity for transformation and deeper connection, to ourselves, our deepest purpose, and to those around us. She assists clients in moving with the energy of conflict to access the opportunity within it, and to create meaningful change in their lives and in the world. Katina also serves on the Board of SEEDS Community Resolution Center, leads facilitations and mediations, and teaches conflict resolution trainings. She is a Certified Somatic Coach through Strozzi Institute. She also holds an MFA in English and Creative Nonfiction from Mills College, and a BA from the Claremont Colleges.
