Jen Chau Fontán creates spaces where individuals can show up in their truth and power, achieve great things and live joyful lives. With over 20 years of experience in management and building talent functions from the ground up at various NYC based nonprofits, Jen has created systems for equitable practices in recruitment, hiring, performance management and staff development. She has also built healthy and engaging organizational cultures and internal programs around equity and belonging.
Jen got her start in Executive Coaching through her talent roles dating back to 2005. More recently, she worked at The Management Center, supporting senior leaders of progressive sector nonprofits to improve as leaders and managers. Since 2019, Jen has continued to build capacity and center equity through her independent coaching practice at JCF Coaching. Today, as a certified somatic coach, Jen works with individuals in a one-on-one capacity to explore the landscape of their lives. Clients tend to work with Jen when they are yearning to move to a new place in: their leadership, their personal lives, or even in their own ability to show up in cross-cultural relationships/race equity work.
When Jen isn’t coaching, she’s spending as much time in nature as possible; making art, laughing and dancing with her 8 year old; enjoying a book or three; making something with yarn and practicing balance in the body and in spirit. Jen lives in Westchester, NY with her husband and daughter.
