Elizabeth Ross (Mendocino County, California), is a seasoned Somatic Coach certified at Strozzi Institute in 2006. She was trained in Somatics and Trauma by Staci Haines, becoming a teacher of this course in 2012. She co-facilitated a multi-year course on Healing Sex and Shame at SI with Staci Haines, and has participated in many SI and generative somatics courses while maintaining a full time private practice.
Elizabeth has decades of experience working with trauma, addiction, PTSD, social justice, and those facing death. She is able to acutely assess personal and social conditions, and brings an unflinching pragmatic and supportive approach to her work. Highly skilled in holding the panorama as well as minutiae, she is committed to a balance of social awareness, accountability, contribution, practice and personal healing. She is passionate about bodywork and the potential change in one’s life and work that can occur.
Elizabeth was Executive Director of a nationally acclaimed HIV prevention program, is an accomplished exhibiting artist and a part-time farmer. She has a long history of justice activism, team-building and collaboration. She has a keen sense of humor and zest for life.
