Anela Barboza Seliskar (Minneapolis, MN) is passionate about co-creating space for personal and collective development through the practices of Somatics. She is excited to support change that promotes deeper individual accountability, personal liberation and aligning purpose with action.
Anela’s perspective and approach to coaching has been shaped by her living experience as a diasporic kanaka maoli (Native Hawaiian), born and raised away from home in a predominantly white, gentrified culture. She is deeply committed to identity exploration, cultural resilience, and resiliency work as a means of personal transformation and healing.
Anela is a Somatic Coach and Bodyworker, certified by the International Coaches Federation (ACC) and Strozzi Institute. She is also a Community Organizer in Minneapolis, MN, working with kanaka maoli living away from Hawai’i. She leads and facilitates group practices and retreats, and loves to spend time with her family and at home in Hawai’i.
