Strozzi Institute Somatic Coaching Program Strozzi Institute offers a certification program for those interested in using a somatic approach for working with individuals, teams, and organizations. Strozzi Institute’s somatic methodology integrates linguistic coordination, a body-oriented psychology, ontological thinking, kinesthetic learning, martial arts, biology, and a somatic sensibility. Strozzi Institute is the only coach
certification program that trains coaches in the relevance of the body. Our unique approach is developed by the pioneering work of Richard Strozzi-Heckler, Ph.D. For the past 33 years Dr. Strozzi-Heckler has researched, developed and taught the discourse of Somatics in such diverse fields as business, health, performing arts, psychology, education, sports, technology, military and the government. Dr. Strozzi-Heckler has distilled these decades of experience into a coaching model that creates effective and lasting change for individuals and teams. Coaches and consultants from other leading institutes come to Strozzi Institute to learn how to bring the distinctions and practices of Somatics into their profession. We offer a unique program that produces a depth of wisdom and skill that cannot be found elsewhere. Somatics refers to the living body in it's wholeness-the unity of body/mind/ emotions/ and spirit. A Somatic Coach™ works with the historical, biological, social, spiritual, linguistic, and emotional aspects unique to each individual. Our Somatic Coaches™ have the skill to work with the "BodySelf" through touch, breath, movement, and paying attention. They work with these aspects to guide the individual towards new skills, new competencies and new ways of responding to life's pressures and opportunities. Somatic Coaches™ produce a strength of character and the skills to respond to life with grace and power that conversational coaching alone cannot produce. The SI Certification Program is comprised of the following courses: Leadership in Action -1&2  Coaching Package - six hours of coaching with one of our trained, certified Associates. After completing this level of study you will become certified as a Strozzi Institute Somatic Coach. You will have the skills and tools to extend the boundaries of your coaching offer to include the body. You will have developed a presence and skill that will enable you to become a more confident and competent coach. You will have developed the capacity to produce sustainable change for your clients. Through your studies at SI you will gain more than new ideas: you will embody new abilities. There is a one-time fee of $750 to process your application for certification and for various materials. It also provides for the additional level of attention to your learning, and coordination between teachers and coaches to produce the richest learning environment possible.
